Course overview

Creative Computing L3 City of Bristol College

This course provides a hands-on introduction to digital creation across website design and development, game development, software development, and core computer science principles.

Learners build practical skills by designing and developing responsive websites, creating interactive games, and writing software using industry-relevant tools and programming languages. Alongside this, students develop a strong understanding of computer science concepts such as algorithms, data, logic, and problem-solving.

The course is assessed entirely through practical projects and coursework, with no written exams required, allowing students to demonstrate their skills through real-world digital products. Students also explore user experience, digital ethics, and professional practice. The qualification supports progression to university-level study in computing, games, or digital media, as well as apprenticeships and employment in the digital and creative technology sectors.
