Customer Service Advanced Apprenticeship City of Bristol College

This advanced apprenticeship will teach you how to deliver outstanding customer service. You will consider how to improve service and work as a strong team. When you complete the course you will have customer service skills to excel in the workplace. If you enjoy working with people and want to develop your career, this is the qualification for you.

Who is it for?

This qualification is suitable for anyone working in a customer service position, who are working on complex tasks with some degree of decision-making within their job role.

What you'll learn

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be completing a Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service, as well as Functional Skills if applicable. You may study topics such as:

  • Demonstrating understanding of customer service
  • Championing customer service
  • Organising the delivery of reliable customer service
  • Monitoring and solve customer service problems
  • Implementing quality improvements to customer service

Entry requirements

To undertake an apprenticeship you will need to be employed (minimum 30 hours per week). Search for apprenticeship vacancies.

To join the apprenticeship, you ideally will need GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

There are two entirely work-based routes through this apprenticeship. Your route will be determined between the College and your employer and you will be advised before you begin your apprenticeship.

Framework

This will give you an apprenticeship awarded by Pearson/Edexcel.

Standard

This will give you an apprenticeship awarded by City and Guilds. You will need to pass an endpoint assessment in the form of an observation, a project presentation and a portfolio interview.

Apprentices are visited on a regular basis in the workplace to support with their qualification and assess their level of competency. Please note that apprentices may be required to attend College for Functional Skills if required.

Successful customer service people often go far in their chosen careers. Next steps upon completion of this Level 3 apprenticeship are progression across a range of sectors.
