Who is this course for?

Those who are interested in working directly in a generic customer facing environment, without limiting yourself to any specific industry or sector.

What you'll learn

You will learn various aspects of customer service delivery such as:

– Principles of customer service and delivery
– Understand how to communicate with customers
– Understand how to resolve problems
– Understand how to deliver customer service online

Course entry requirements

4 x GCSEs at Level 3 or above including Maths and/or English or equivalent or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject.

We will invite you to a course information meeting event where you will receive information, advice and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

You will learn through a mix of classroom work, practical activities, visits, assignments and work experience. You will be assessed in a variety of ways to give you the best opportunity to demonstrate your skills including written tests, group work, assignments and role-play activities.

Your Maths and English will be assessed through tests and exams.

Future career and study opportunities

When you complete this course, you could seek employment in the retail, leisure or tourism industry. Alternatively, you could develop your skills and knowledge further by joining one of our specific related courses within the services industries department.

Additional costs

There will be cost to the course to cover any specific equipment, trips and/ or enrichment activities throughout the year. This cost is to be confirmed.
