Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in becoming a developer and for people who want to see how websites and digital products are developed. If you’ve got big ideas to develop the next big thing and not sure where to start, this course is for you. If you’ve thought you want a change of direction and think coding could be what you’re looking for, this course is for you.
If you study on this programme it will give you the foundational skills you’ll need to study at a higher level and is designed especially to prepare you for life as a Software Developer on the Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship standard.

Course entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme but you will need an extremely positive attitude towards learning.
You will need a PC/Laptop with an Intel Core i3 or equivalent processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage along with a webcam and microphone to attend the virtual learning environment
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course will be delivered via Code Nation’s virtual learning environment – we’ll get you set up in advance of the course. Assessment takes place through coursework and practical demonstrations of your new skills and knowledge.
You will develop a website and an application using tools like GitHub, Trello, Visual Studio Code and Slack as well as create a portfolio of work through assignments.
