This eight-week evening course provides an introduction to the basic principles of digital photography.
This course is for adults aged 19+.
Who is it for?
This course is for adults aged 19 and over who are complete beginners.
It is also great for people with some photographic experience who would like to learn more about digital technology.
What you'll learn
During this eight-week course you will learn about the general features common to your digital camera and how to compose your photographs to the best effect.
You will learn how to upload the pictures you have taken to a computer and you will be encouraged and taught how to take specific images week on week using your camera’s automatic and non-automatic controls.
To join this course, you will need to have a keen interest in photography. You will need to bring your own digital SLR camera or a camera that you can switch to manual shooting modes.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
This course will be assessed continuously throughout the short course and throughout coursework and projects.
There are no additional costs for students. You will need your own camera and its USB connection lead.
