Develop your video editing skills with this evening course. The course will build on your video editing skills, with a focus on colour correction and effects editing and will provide an opportunity to create your own video production.

Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for people who have completed the Introduction to Digital Video Editing, and also for people who have been making short videos themselves and want to take their skills to the next level.

What you'll learn

During this five-week course you will cover the basics and colour correction as well as working with green screening and adding masks and effects to video. You will learn to edit raw footage and develop custom transitions between clips and add visual effects to your video.

Course entry requirements

To join this course you will have a keen interest in making videos and have your own media storage device with at least 64GB of space. You will also have something to record video footage.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

There is no formal assessment for the course however you will receive practical feedback on what you have done and how to develop it further.

Future career and study opportunities

After completing this course, you are interested in entering full-time education, we offer media programmes at level 3 and 4.

To keep everyone safe, we’ve reduced the number of people in our buildings at one time. Most of our courses include sessions taught at the college supported by online learning.
