Education and Training Level 3 Award City of Bristol CollegeThe Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a course designed to introduce you to teaching and training in the Lifelong Learning Sector (teaching and training those aged 16+). This is not a course for you if you want to teach in Primary or Secondary schools.

Who is this course for?
You do not need to be teaching to enrol on this Education and Training Level 3 qualification. This is an introductory and knowledge-based teaching qualification with no minimum teaching practice requirement.
You may wish to enrol on this course if you are currently teaching and are new to the role. You might be involved in training within your company and want to know more about teaching, learning and assessment at an introductory level.
You need to be 19 or over to enrol on the course.
What you'll learn
You will learn about a teacher’s roles and responsibilities, setting ground rules, planning a learning session, creating an inclusive learning environment, assessment and communication.
Course entry requirements

You need to be 19 or over to enrol on the course.
Written English should meet the required standard to be able to:
- Read and understand course criteria, assignments and hand-outs
- Write notes in sessions, produce resources for your micro teach
- Complete written assignment work with appropriate grammar and punctuation.
- Research information to complete tasks and present work appropriately.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will be taught in college one evening per week for 10 weeks.
You will be assessed mostly through short written tasks each week which prepares you for your final assessment near the end of the course which is to deliver a short micro-teach to the rest of the group on a subject of your choice!
