Who is this course for?
This course is for adults aged 19 and over who want to develop floristry skills as a leisure interest or for a career.
What you'll learn
You will learn how to construct simple and striking floral arrangements, gaining practical techniques and creative solutions, and you will learn to choose the appropriate flowers and foliage for different types of arrangement.
Course entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this courses and you do not need experience of floristry
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course takes place one three-hour session a week over a six-week period. You will learn from experienced florists in our modern floristry workshop, at our South Bristol Skills Academy.
Future career and study opportunities
You could extend your knowledge and skills further by joining our Level 2 Floristry Certificate course. This could lead to employment in the floristry industry or you could progress to our more advanced Level 3 Floristry Certificate. Alternatively, you could join another of our short courses to learn about floristry for weddings or funerals.
Additional costs
You will need to buy and bring flowers required for each session.
The course fee is £250 but this can be paid for under certain circumstances, please contact us for further information.
