This is a full-time, one-year course which focuses on fashion and editorial make-up, body art and beauty treatments. There are UCAS points awarded for this qualification.
You will gain knowledge and experience through hands-on classes in a specialised make-up studio at our SBSA campus.

Who is this course for?
This is a full-time course for 16-18 year olds who have completed Level 2 Hair and Media Make-up.
What you'll learn
You will study:
- Working with colleagues within the beauty related industries
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practices in the salon
- Creative hairdressing design skills
- Design and apply face and body art
- Fashion and photographic make up
- Apply airbrush make up to the face
- Camouflage make up
- Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques
- Style and fit postiche
- Apply individual permanent lashes
- Provide self tanning
Course entry requirements
To join this course, you will need a Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up, and GCSE English and maths at grade 3 or above, or you may be asked to provide a portfolio of work to ensure your suitability for the course.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course is fast-paced, with a large volume of written and design work including assignments, practical observations and online exams. You will need to be organised and confident with producing work to deadlines.

After completing this course, you will be prepared for further study at university level or to work in industry.
As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. You will need to purchase your uniform (t-shirt and hoodie) and kit, to a total of £586.67.
