The course will help develop your knowledge and understanding of different HR models and practices, and the external factors that impact on organisations. You will also develop your ability in management planning, analytical and problem solving skills and to evaluate the effectiveness of Human Resource practices.

Who is this course for?
This course is a perfect progression opportunity for people currently holding the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in HR or learning and development, or people who want to gain a respected, recognised intermediate level professional qualification to progress in their career by improving their HR or learning and development knowledge and skills.
What you'll learn
This course is studied on a modular basis and taught by lectures, seminars, workshops, occasional guest speakers and industry case studies while supported by Moodle, our Virtual Learning Environment. Core modules studied include developing professional practice, business issues and the contexts of human resources, and using information in human resources.
Course entry requirements
Applicants will have 2+ years experience working within a HR or learning and development environment, with responsibility for implementing policies and procedures. You will also need a good standard of spoken and written English. A Level 3 CIPD Certificate in Human Resources Practice is desirable.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
There are a variety of assessment method including presentations, business reports, projects, self-assessments and coursework. NB: Some assessments are timed.
