Apprenticeship Units Overview

At City of Bristol College, apprenticeship units equip existing employees within a sector-based technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours for roles in electrical, engineering, construction and low-carbon sectors.  

Our offer of apprenticeship units are aligned to Installation and Maintenance Electrician (Level 3), Engineering Fitter (Level 3), Engineering Technician (Level 3), Construction Assembly Operative (Level 2), and related apprenticeship standards. 

Completion of units can support progress to apprenticeships, specialist roles, or management.

Types of Units

Modular
Cover discrete sets of skills (KSBs) from a full standard.

Credit-bearing
Carry recognised occupational competence and national accreditation. 

Short-form
Delivery time is significantly reduced compared to a full programme, offering between 1 week to 3 months in duration.

Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installation and Maintenance
