Do you carry out internal quality assurance in your organisation? This course gives you the opportunity to develop and improve your practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for your role.

This qualification is available to anyone working in; accredited learning, non-accredited learning, the NQF and the QCF.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is for people who conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process within a centre or organisation by sample planning, monitoring and advising on the practice of assessors.

What you'll learn

You will attend four three-hour training sessions which will cover all the underpinning principles and practices of internal quality assurance of assessment.

You will complete a project at the end of the course based on an evaluation and recommendation of your workplace quality assurance processes and practice. Portfolio of evidence including observation of practices, discussion and inspection of work products.

Course entry requirements

You need to be involved in IQA monitoring and quality assuring the work of two assessors, each with a minimum of two candidates of their own through parts of a qualification.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

You will complete a project based on an evaluation and recommendation of your own workplace quality assurance processes and practice. This will be supported by a range of additional evidence that will be planned and reviewed with your college assessor.

This will include a minimum of two observations of you working with your two assessors plus records of your quality assurance systems.

This qualification is made up of three units and totals 12 credits.
