Who is this course for?
Managers and supervisors have extensive health and safety commitments placed within their sphere of responsibility. This two-week (13 hours in College per week) course ensures you have the knowledge to handle resources and manage risk within your organisation.
What you'll learn
On the course, you will cover a range of areas including understanding why accidents and injuries occur, apply management principles to health and safety issues, manage behavioural issues affecting health and safety performances and be aware of the legal framework for health and safety at work.
Course entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements necessary, however you must be working in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course includes a practical safety project undertaken in the workplace and multiple choice exam at the end of the course.
Future career and study opportunities
Next steps upon successful completion of the course could be further study onto a NEBOSH General Certificate.
