Course overview
Management and Leadership Level 3 City of Bristol CollegeChartered Management Institute (CMI) is the only chartered body for management and leadership. Once registered for this qualification, you will automatically become a studying member, and upon completion will be eligible to become an Associate of CMI (ACMI). Upon completing the certificate and diploma qualifications you will be awarded Foundation Chartered Manager status. The course fee includes membership of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Who is this course for?
This qualification will suit learners pursuing or already inroles such as Team Leader, Supervisor, Project Officer, Shift Manager, Foreperson, etc. who will supervise or manage a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They should set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance, and ay to day operational and project activities should be a key part of their role.
What you'll learn
The qualification structure and organisation of units for these qualifications have been informed by CMI 21st Century Leaders, and two key themes are followed: Foundations for Excellence and Developing Capabilities, Delivering Results, Driving Best Practice.
Course entry requirements
These qualifications can be offered to learners from age 16. CMI does not specify entry requirements for these qualifications, but we are required to ensure that learners admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment. We will ensure that our learners have a good standard of spoken and written English and are recruited with integrity onto appropriate qualifications that will meet their needs, enable and facilitate learning and achievement and enable progression.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
The course will be taught using a variety of methods which will include case studies, interactive lectures, group and individual tasks and discussions. The course includes all-day workshops structured as assignment surgeries.
You will be assessed via written assignment, one of each of 8 units.
CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership learners must complete any combination to a minimum of 370 TUT hours or 37 credits to achieve this qualification.
Future career and study opportunities
Learners may further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications depending on their work experience, such as the CMI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
