NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice (England) City of Bristol College

This qualification will help to prepare learners to begin working with young people in a range of youth work settings. Youth work helps young people learn about themselves, others and society through informal educational activities that combine enjoyment, challenge and learning.

Youth workers typically work with young people aged between 11 and 25. Their work seeks to promote young people’s personal and social development and enables them to have a voice, influence and place in their communities and society as a whole. This course, co-designed in partnership with Bristol Play and Youth Alliance, offers an exciting opportunity to become part of the Play and Youth Sector in Bristol. Developed alongside the sector, the skills, knowledge and learning are tailored to equip you for a future within this field.

You will gain valuable experience working with children and young people aged 8-19, with an introduction to Play and Youth Work Principles and a focus on working with children and young people in the community in Bristol. Throughout the course, you’ll engage in real-life delivery across the city, providing a strong foundation for future opportunities within the sector.
