This 12-hour short course will teach you the skills you need to effectively keep children safe in emergency situations.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone with an interest in first aid or the responsibility as an appointed person to administer first aid to young children and babies.
What you'll learn
There is also the option of completing a 12-hour Paediatric First Aid course which focuses on the skills required to effectively keep children safe and calmly deal with emergencies.

There are no entry requirements for this course.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
During this course you will complete a number of activities, multiple choice test papers and practical assessments in a classroom environment.
Future career and study opportunities
After successfully completing this course, you can move onto an Automated Extended Defibrillator (AED) course, First Aid at Work course or another first aid and health and safety course.
Alongside the course fee, you will need to pay for the Highfield book.
Many First Aid students are supported with fees covered by their employer.
