The part-time course will give you experience and confidence in using Word Processing software. You will learn skills in the widely-used tool that will enable you to provide efficient office support.
This module forms part of the International Certificate in Digital Literacy and can be combined with other modules to make up the full ICDL award and/or certificate at Level 2.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone wishing to learn more advanced techniques using word processing software to produce detailed documents such as reports.
What you'll learn
During this course, you will study a variety of units including storing and retrieving files, inserting tables, pictures and other objects into documents and using templates to create documents.
You will also learn to alter the page layout of documents, formatting characters, paragraphs and columns and creating mail merge documents.
Course entry requirements
To join this course, you do not need any formal qualifications but will need to have a good command or written English to be able to follow the content and assessment materials.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
This course is assessed in a variety of ways including written assignments and module tests.
Future career and study opportunities
After successfully completing this course, you may progress to another Level 2 chosen subject unit or a full ECDL qualification at Level 1 or 2.
