Course overview<\/h2>\n\n\n

This day-release apprenticeship programme is for people who are already working in the joinery trade. The course will give you the knowledge and industry-standard skills you need to become a work-ready joiner.<\/p>\n

When undertaking an apprenticeship, you will study a mixture of both work-based learning and training at college. At the end of the course, you will undertake an endpoint assessment (EPA) to complete your competency in bench joinery.<\/p>\n

Your employer will pay the minimum apprenticeship wage while you are learning your trade.<\/p>\n

You need to find your own employer as part of your application for an apprenticeship; you can search apprenticeship vacancies on the government website.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Who is this course for?<\/h2>\n\n\n

This course is suitable for learners who are progressing from the Level 2 apprenticeship in joinery. You should have a keen interest to advance your bench joinery career.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What you’ll learn<\/h2>\n\n\n

The apprenticeship is made up of; college-based technical Diploma, routine reviews of learning including evidence of knowledge, skills and behaviours, coaching and training to prepare you for EPA, Functional Skills in English and Maths, recording of 20% off the job and a work-based NVQ.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Entry requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n

To join this course, you must have at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English Language and Maths, or to have completed an alternative full Level 2 course with Level 1 Functional Skills. You must be employed or to have an offer of employment with an appropriate employer.<\/p>\n

You must also have a strong commitment to working with your employer and College assessor and an excellent record of attendance at school or college.<\/p>\n

You must also demonstrate a high degree of enthusiasm and a guarantee to succeed and prepare effectively for employment.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n
