This is a classroom, once a week course and students are expected to conduct independent study outside of the classroom. You will investigate the accidental and malicious security threats that exist to IT systems and data. They will learn about system vulnerabilities and the tools and techniques used to protect users from risks and potential damage, including loss of data, loss of data integrity and unauthorised access to data.<\/p>\n<p>You will also investigate website design and plan, design and create their own website in response to a client brief. They will test and refine the website against the client brief and review their own performance. In the programming unit learners will learn about the principles of computer programming to understand how programming works.
