Enrolment for 16-18 year olds
2022/23 academic year
You can still apply for the 2022/23 academic year. You can explore our courses to find the one that’s right for you. At this stage, we recommend that you come into the College during enrolment – as soon as you are able to.
If you apply now onwards, or you have not been able to attend a course meeting, you will be offered a place following the review of your application and subject to you meeting the entry requirements for the course(s) that you have applied for.
You can view our enrolment timetable to find out when you should come into College to enrol.
In order to enrol at City of Bristol College, you will need to bring:
- Your exam result slips, transcripts or certificates (we must see these to confirm that you meet the entry criteria for your course)
- Contact details of two people we can contact in an emergency (preferably email address and mobile number)
- Evidence of identity and spelling of name (e.g. passport, driving licence, National Insurance letter, bank statement)
- Residency evidence if you have not been in the UK for the past 3 years
What is enrolment?
Enrolment is when you come along to confirm your place on your chosen course. Once you have your GCSE results we can ensure that you are enrolled on the level of course that is right for you.
You will also get to chat to staff about the courses and get advice and guidance if you need this. We will provide you with your timetable and ID card, so after enrolment, you are ready to start college.
When is enrolment?
Enrolment starts on GCSE results day, 25 August 2022. If you have applied, we will send you a time and date when you should come and enrol, but there are also open enrolment times too, so you can come at another time convenient to you.
We will also be open at College Green and South Bristol Skills Academy on Saturday 27 August and Saturday 3 September 10am to 2pm.
We advise that you enrol as soon as possible, as some courses fill up quickly.
What if I can’t make the date and time I have been allocated?
Don’t worry! If you can come before your allocated time, then do so and we will enrol you then. If you are not able to attend your provided date or before this, then we will ask that you tell us so that we can hold a place for you. Then, simply come along as soon as you can.
I haven’t applied, can I still enrol?
Yes. You can come along to enrolment and we can still enrol you.
What if I change my mind about the course I want to do?
That’s fine! Many students change their mind once they have their GCSE results. Simply let us know when you come along to enrol, and if you meet the entry requirements, we will be able to enrol you on your chosen course.
Can I bring my family and friends to enrolment?
Yes, please do, they are very welcome and can provide you with support. If you have friends that want to enrol at the same time, then feel free to come along together.
When does enrolment end?
We enrol students throughout September and term starts on Monday 5 September, but if you are on holiday or decide to enrol later, you are still very welcome to join us if there are spaces on your chosen course.
