Lecturer in Civil Engineering
Contract: 37 Hours (24 Teaching and 13 Non-contact Hours)
Location: South Bristol Skill Academy and Advanced Engineering Centre

We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Civil Engineering Lecturer. This role will be perfect for an experienced and or qualified civil engineer (Lecturer or Industry professional) that wants to pass on their knowledge, skills and behaviours of the industry to the next budding civil engineering technicians and groundworkers

About your role:
You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver a comprehensive portfolio of programmes in groundwork and civil engineering. You’ll start with the Level 2 Groundworks, progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Civil Engineering, and ultimately guide students through the Level 4 Diploma in Civil Engineering, all while ensuring that you align with the awarding body guidance to maintain the highest standards.
By coordinating the development and delivery of innovative Groundworks and Civil Engineering apprenticeship plans for City of Bristol College, positively impacting learners across the beautiful West of England.
Embarking on a valuable mapping exercise to explore and assess all current and planned Green Skills provision, contributing to the college’s emerging Green Skills agenda, which is designed to prepare our students for a sustainable future.
Representing, promoting, and engaging with key organisations and professional bodies in the Construction, Groundworks, and Civil Engineering sectors. By building strategic partnerships, you will help raise awareness of the exciting apprenticeship options available, guiding the college through its transition to a vibrant Green Skills agenda that supports both our students and the community.
Being a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally.
