Colleges Week is back for 2025 and it’s a bigger celebration than ever.
The initiative from The Association of Colleges takes place this week and champions the positive impact that colleges have both in their local communities and further afield across the country.
The week-long celebration focuses on one mission per day of the Government’s five missions and uses this as a framework, highlighting the crucial role that colleges play in building brighter futures for students, staff and their local communities.
The government’s five missions are as follows:
- Kickstart the economy
- Become a green energy superpower
- Take back our streets
- Break down barriers to opportunity
- Build an NHS fit for the future
Today focuses on breaking down barriers to opportunity. The Government’s mission states that it aims to: “Break down barriers to opportunity by reforming our childcare and education systems, to make sure there is no class ceiling on the ambitions of young people in Britain.”
At City of Bristol College, we encourage our students to find their ‘Where Next’ and to reach for their goals and aspirations to deliver them to where they want to be in life.
Our student body is incredibly diverse and is composed of people from all walks of life from the city of Bristol and further afield.
We promote a truly welcoming environment and are an education provider that is a cornerstone of the community. We strive to break down barriers to opportunity for our students daily and we pride ourselves in making this a reality in our offering and provision.
Please join us as we continue to celebrate the remainder of Colleges Week 2025 and keep your eyes peeled on our social media platforms to see how we are signifying this celebratory week.
