After the amazing success of the first batch of gourmet dinners at our City Restaurant, we are preparing to welcome back more talented guest chefs to work alongside our Catering and Hospitality students.
Our Spring term will see our students supported by the chefs and their lecturers to deliver five-star quality food to paying customers at the College Green restaurant, off Anchor Road.
Gourmet dinners are a four-course set menu planned by the guest chefs. Dishes are produced by the catering students under the watchful eye of the guest and lecturer chefs, who offer advice and guidance to help them hone and develop their skills.
Hospitality students will then serve the diners and use the opportunity to develop their practical and customer service skills.
This term, we are excited to welcome guest chefs from destinations including De Vere Tortworth Court and Thornbury Castle. The first gourmet evening will be held on tomorrow (Thursday), with the concluding evening on 17 March.
Catering lecturer, Ryan Fernandes, said: “We are very excited to be able to welcome our guests and visiting chefs for another term of gourmet dinners. These evenings are invaluable to our students as they learn key skills they may not come across in an everyday kitchen.”
