Fastest-growing job roles revealed – and how City of Bristol College is leading the way

The statistics are in, the 10 fastest-growing job roles in Bristol have been announced and it’s the perfect opportunity for City of Bristol College to reflect on the outstanding provision that we offer within the city that we call home.

Just last week, LinkedIn reported on the 10 fastest-growing roles in Bristol, unveiling their annual list; a data-backed ranking of the 10 fastest-growing jobs over the past three years in the local area.
The ranking highlights sectors that are experiencing sustainable local growth in the ever-changing job market. The methodology of the list is focused solely on activity at the city level rather than the national scale.

At City of Bristol College, we take a dynamic approach, listen to our community and strive to tailor our offering to bridge the skills gap in the South West. We pride ourselves on producing incredibly skilled alumni that enter a plethora of industries ready to make a real difference and with the appetite and drive to make a real change.

We are passionate about supporting Bristol businesses and work meticulously to develop the workforce of the future.

As reported by LinkedIn, the 10 fastest-growing job roles are as follows:

1 – Finance Manager
2 – Executive Assistant
3 – Systems Engineer
4 – Business Development Manager
5 – Human Resources Advisor
6 – Product Manager
7 – Financial Advisor
8 – Store Manager

10 – Director of Operations

The ranked job roles are certainly varied but with a clear focus on corporate services. Many of the roles securing a spot on the list cover HR, Business Development and Operations; roles which exist across multiple industries. We also see an honourable mention for roles in the finance and retail sectors.

City of Bristol College’s provision covers specialised qualifications and related training for all of these industries with courses at varying levels including specific courses in business, management and even HR.

This offering cements the college as a key provider of education in the local area; an organisation that keeps an ear to the ground and is in tune with the needs of local sectors throughout the city, proactively responding to the trends of the job industry and producing forward-thinking alumni that leave the college with the skills to succeed in whatever their chosen career path.
