How to… use Microsoft Teams for your lessons

Coronavirus has seen lessons at City of Bristol College go digital for some of this academic year after the country was forced into lockdown on 23rd March.

With changes being made each week to the lockdown restrictions by Government, it is unknown how the educational landscape will look in September.

We hope we will be able to welcome you back into our classrooms for face-to-face learning soon but some learning could still be conducted online.

To get new students ready for the new academic year, we have created a handy ‘how-to’ guide to get you started on your educational journey with us.

Through Microsoft Teams you will be able to chat to your classmates and lecturers, receive and send in assignments.

See our ‘How to use Microsoft Teams‘ guide (PDF) to help you understand how your virtual lessons may look.

To keep our students and staff safe, we’re reducing the number of people in our buildings at one time.

To achieve this, most of our courses will include sessions taught at the college supported by online learning to help you reach your full potential. Find out more about how we’ve adapted due to COVID-19.
