Become a Student Ambassador
The Student Ambassador Programme is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Improve your communication skills
- Gain experience which will look great on your CV or UCAS application
- Promote City of Bristol College to future students
A student ambassador is responsible for attending college-wide events (marketing events and open days/evenings) and external events where they will promote the college services to the general public. Student ambassadors will be required to collaborate on projects alongside the Student Engagement team.
The role requires a confident communicator who is keen to share their learning journey with others. They will also have the opportunity to engage in social media take over in all promotions of the college and wider college activity.

The Beyond Programme – Clubs and Activities
A unique opportunity to enhance your learning journey beyond the classroom.
Do you want to make friends or develop a new hobby? Check out the variety of clubs, activities and events available at your centre (see SharePoint). You could learn and develop new skills with clubs such as chess, creative writing or sign language, or get active and join a sports club.
You can also make a difference to your community with other groups like our LGBTQ+ gay/straight alliance or environmental campaigning with My World My Home (see details below).
My World My Home: Creating Tomorrow’s Environmental Leaders
My World My Home is a leadership development programme for college students, run by Friends of the Earth (FoE) in partnership with Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK).
Over the course of a year, students are supported to learn, take action and lead the college community in a campaign that will positively benefit the local environment. Last year, CoBC students campaigned on the cost of living crisis and climate change, particularly energy bills and fuel poverty, organised a local election question time event and even went to London to speak about their campaign at Parliament.
