Your Questions Answered

What happens after I receive an offer?

Upon verbal acceptance of your offer, we will send you your contract, offer letter and associated pre-employment documents via email that you will then need to return to the HR department prior to your start date to ensure the relevant checks can be completed in time. You will then be contacted to arrange your first day.

How will you help me settle into my new role?

When you start your new role with us, you will be invited to take part in one of the College’s Welcome events where we cover the College structure, departments and where to go for help. You will also get to know other new staff and have the opportunity to meet the Principal.

I need help with the recruitment system

Here is a list of common problems experienced with the system and resolutions.

Section showing as incomplete

If you edit a section, the system may allow you to save that page without completing all the mandatory fields. Please check for each section that you have completed the fields marked as mandatory.

How do I view my past applications?

When you access the recruitment system, there is a link on the left-hand side for ‘My Applications’. You will be able to see all applications submitted and any ones you currently have in progress.

I’m an existing member of staff, how do I log in?

Use your existing network account to log in (the same details you’d use to get onto the college computers).

How do I reset my password?

If you are a current member of staff, please speak to the IT helpdesk to reset your password. If you are an external candidate, you can reset your password using the link provided on the login page. This will email you a link to reset your password and get back into the system.

Do I need a teaching qualification to work in FE?

Not necessarily! We welcome your industry and subject specialist knowledge, and we will support and fully fund you to achieve a teaching or assessing qualification.
