SWAC

A flexible way to recruit and employ apprentices

With SWAC, an apprentice is employed by SWAC but works full-time within your organisation. This means you can develop an apprentice as a valued member of your team, while SWAC manages the employment responsibilities and provides ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship.

Our experienced team can support with:

  • Recruiting and matching you with the right apprentice
  • Employment contracts and right-to-work checks
  • Payroll, pensions and employment administration
  • Managing absence and performance
  • Working with you and the training provider throughout the apprenticeship
  • Apprentice mentoring, welfare and pastoral support
  • Guidance around training, Off-the-Job Training and End-Point Assessment
  • Apprenticeship funding and levy arrangements where applicable

The result is a flexible apprenticeship employment model that allows you to focus on developing your apprentice and building your future workforce.

For organisations building their future workforce

Apprenticeships are about more than filling a vacancy. They are an opportunity to develop people with the skills your organisation will need in the future.

SWAC can help you identify apprenticeship opportunities, recruit the right people and provide support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Whether you are recruiting your first apprentice, expanding an established programme or looking for a more flexible way to manage apprenticeship employment, we can work with you to develop an approach that fits your organisation.

Supporting apprentices to succeed

Our support does not stop when an apprentice starts work.

SWAC stays involved throughout the apprenticeship, working with the apprentice, employer and training provider to help ensure the apprentice is supported, progressing and developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need for their future career.

Our team provides regular mentoring and welfare support, alongside practical guidance for employers and apprentices.

99% of SWAC apprentices complete their apprenticeship and progress into employment or further qualifications.

SWAC was awarded the Gold Service Award by the South West Apprenticeships Ambassador Network (SWAAN), recognising the quality of its services to apprentices and employers.
