Who is this course for?
This course is for beginners who want to learn how to use Fusion 360 for 3D modelling and engineering design.
You do not need previous experience with CAD, CAE or CAM software, although a basic understanding of industrial or product design or engineering may be helpful.
What you’ll learn
You will learn how to use Fusion 360 to create 3D models and 2D technical drawings, including:
- Creating 3D models from sketches and basic shapes
- Using advanced sketching tools to create more complex geometry
- Creating 3D images of your designs
Using equations and parameters to control models and drawings
- Creating complex 3D objects using techniques such as path sweeps
- Preparing your designs for 3D printing
- Creating a 3D print from your own design as part of your course project
Entry requirements
You do not need previous experience using CAD, CAE or CAM software to join this course.
You will need a working knowledge of English and Maths and be confident using Windows-based computers.
You will also need to attend an entry interview before enrolling on the course. Interviews are available in person or by telephone.
