These courses are for adults who want to improve their English as a speaker of another language. We offer ESOL courses at a range of levels, from Pre-Entry to Level 2.

You will develop your English skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will also be able to study Maths alongside your ESOL course if you need to develop your maths skills.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

You will complete an initial assessment to determine your level of English and make sure you study at the level that is right for you, from Pre-Entry to Level 2.

Once you have completed your course, you can progress to a higher-level ESOL course, a vocational course or employment.

As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery.

If you are on a limited income, you may be able to receive help from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
