Improve your digital skills in a friendly and supportive class designed specifically for adults aged 19 and over.

We offer a programme of short courses at different levels, tailored to your needs. Courses run at different levels on different days throughout the year. Your course day will depend on your starting level and when you join the programme.

Find out more about our A Level pathways and how to apply

This course is for adults aged 19 and over who want to develop their digital skills. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some computer skills, we offer courses at different levels to help you improve.

You will complete an initial assessment before joining the course so we can recommend the right level for you.

You will develop practical digital skills to help you use computers and online services confidently and safely. Depending on your level, you may learn how to create and manage documents, use email and the internet, create presentations, complete online forms, manage digital information and stay safe online.

You will be invited to a course information meeting where you will receive information, advice and guidance about the course you have applied for.

You will also complete an initial assessment so we can recommend the most suitable level for you. Applicants should have English language skills at approximately Entry Level 2 ESOL or English.

Developing your digital skills can help you progress to further digital skills courses, vocational training or employment. The skills you gain can also help you feel more confident using digital technology in everyday life and at work.

As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery.

If you are on a limited income, you may be able to receive help from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.

How to apply?

Your admissions journey will follow a number of straightforward steps and will likely follow a similar format to the steps outlined on our ‘How to Apply‘ page.

For 16-18 courses, places will be offered for a specific course of study at City of Bristol College, subject to the applicant meeting all course entry criteria.
