This is a short College course for anyone interested in learning how to maintain their own vehicle.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone wishing to obtain general skills and knowledge of car maintenance and repairs. The aim is to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out servicing and preventative maintenance on light motor vehicles.
What you'll learn
You will study cover tyre checks, basic dashboard lighting, vehicle electrics, MOT testing, windscreen wipers maintenance and basic engine components.

There are no entry requirements for this course.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
This course is delivered through practical workshop activities and lectures. You will be trained and assessed on practical tasks undertaken in motor vehicle workshops.
Future career and study opportunities
After successfully completing this course you can move on to complete a Vehicle Restoration course should you choose to.
There are no additional costs for this course but you will need to wear stout footwear and sensible clothing.
