Course overview
This is an inclusive course for students wishing to work on their independent living skills and to prepare them for future college courses. This course is for students at Pre-entry and Entry level.
The course usually runs over three or four days. Students will always be given a student-friendly timetable at induction.
During a typical college day, you will always get a rest break, as well as a lunch break, where you will have the option to sit with your group, chat with others, have some quiet time in a breakout area, or use the computers or laptops in the Study Centre.
Class sizes are smaller (usually around 8 learners in total), and there will always be a Learning Assistant available to support students in the classroom and during break times. Most sessions are classroom-based, but students will get lots of opportunities to go off-site during the year, depending on the subject and projects they are taking part in.
