This course is perfect for beginners or those with little formal experience in creative subjects.

What you'll learn
You will study a range of topics and complete a variety of projects, which include painting, drawing, sculpture, amongst other disciplines, which help to develop the following skills.

You will provide a copy of your last school report/provider or a reference from an employer or a relevant professional other. This is to ensure that we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

How is the course delivered and assessed?
During this course, you will be assessed in a variety of different ways to give you the best opportunity to demonstrate your skills throughout the year.
This is a one-year, full-time course. You will be expected to attend college for three or four days a week.
Future career and study opportunities
After completing this course, you can move on to: Level 1 Creative Arts or Media Vocational courses in design, fashion, or digital arts Community art projects or creative apprenticeships.

As a City of Bristol College student, you may incur additional costs to attend your course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel and stationery.
Many courses offer learning opportunities that you may need to pay for. This may include things like study visits and visiting speakers. We will let you know in advance if there will be additional costs.
