Who is this course for?
This course is designed for 16–18-year-olds or adult learners who are ready to take the next step into the festival and creative industries.
It is ideal for those looking to specialise in media production, technical builds, or event design.
What you'll learn
Year 1:
- Foundational and Intermediate Skills Technical production processes (audio, visual, and interactive media)
- Professional practices, including teamwork, health and safety and communication.
- Researching audience needs and designing festival-ready concepts
Year 2:
- Advanced and Professional Skills Leadership in event planning, including artist liaison and people management
- Specialist skills in construction, build logistics and site preparation
- Creating, managing and delivering your own festival project
Course entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.
Completion of Level 2 Creative Media Production or equivalent experience.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
A mix of coursework-based: classroom-based learning, practical workshops and weekly offsite sessions.
Assessment is through projects and presentations, culminating in an extended final project where students deliver a festival-ready concept.
Future career and study opportunities
Progress to the Level 4 Professional Diploma in Technical and Production Practice.
Entry into Higher Education for related subjects such as Media, Event Management, or Live Production.
Careers in the festival sector.
