Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for anyone aged 16+ who has a passion for events, media and creative industries but is looking for an introduction to develop foundational skills.

No prior experience is required, just an eagerness to learn and engage in real-world projects.

What you'll learn

  • Fundamentals of creative media methods and production techniques
  • Understanding and engaging with festival audiences

  • Exploring audio, visual and interactive production methods
  • Practical industry-relevant skills such as temporary site builds, audio set-up and basic ground maintenance

Course entry requirements

4 x GCSEs at Level 3 or above including Maths and/or English or equivalent or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

The course combines classroom learning, practical workshops and industry visits.

Assessment is project-based, with an internally assessed portfolio of evidence.

Future career and study opportunities

Upon completion, you can progress to the Level 3 Festival Production course, apprenticeships, or entry-level roles in events, media production and creative industries.
