Who is this course for?
This qualification is for individuals who are interested in starting a career in the customer service industry.
What you'll learn
This qualification provides a basic understanding of the impact of customer service and will equip candidates with the necessary basic skills to work and support customer service delivery. This will include compulsory face to face interactions in customer service roles, being a student ambassador and attending open days and college events to build knowledge and understanding a realistic environments
Course entry requirements
4 x GCSEs at Level 2 or above including Maths and/or English We will invite you to a course information meeting event where you will receive information, advice and guidance about the course you have applied for.
This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will learn through a mix of classroom work, practical activities, visits, assignments and work experience. You will be assessed in a variety of ways to give you the best opportunity to demonstrate your skills including written tests, group work, assignments and role-play activities. Your Maths and English will be assessed through tests and exams.
Future career and study opportunities
When you complete this course, you could seek employment in the retail, leisure or tourism industry. Alternatively, you could develop your skills and knowledge further by joining one of our specific related courses within the services industries department.

There will be cost to the course to cover any specific equipment, trips and/ or enrichment activities throughout the year.
This cost is to be confirmed. If you are on a limited income, you may be eligible to receive help with these costs from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
