Spanish Foundation Plus City of Bristol CollegeWant to enjoy your holiday to the full? Need to use better Spanish in your job? Or simply learning for fun? Then this two-hour-a-week, 12-week programme is for you.
You will study with other adults aged 19 and over.
You will learn to:
- be able to give personal information and talk about somebody else’s daily routine
- talk about events that happened in the recent past
- say what is wrong with your health and follow advice
- reply to invitations either accepting them or refusing them in a polite way
- use phrases to express intention, possibility or future events.

Who is this course for?
This 12-week (2 hours per week in College) course is is for people who wants to build on their existing Beginner course and Foundation course skills in Spanish and who may have spent at least one and a half years learning Spanish.
This course is not suitable if you are a complete beginner.
What you'll learn
There will be a focus on topics such as giving personal information and talking about somebody else’s daily routine.
You will learn to talk about events that happened in the recent past and future projects, say what is wrong with your health and follow advice and reply to invitations either accepting them or refusing them in a polite way.
Homework will be set to offer an opportunity for independent study, backed up with on-line resources on Moodle.
Course entry requirements
To join this course, you must have completed our prior Beginners, Beginners Plus and Foundation courses or to have studied Spanish to a lower intermediate level in the past.
Fees: £253
This is a full cost recovery course, meaning there is no funding available, and payment will be required upon enrolment.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed through informal assessment by yourself and your tutor during the course.
Future career and study opportunities
After successfully completing the Foundation Plus Spanish course, you will be able to progress to the Pre-Intermediate Spanish course.
