What are Skills Bootcamps?

A Skills Bootcamp is a free, intensive training programme designed to help individuals develop industry-specific skills in high-demand sectors. Lasting up to 16 weeks, these programmes provide practical experience, knowledge and employability skills to help learners secure relevant job opportunities.

Unlike traditional academic courses, Skills Bootcamps are often delivered in a flexible, modular format, making them accessible to individuals with different schedules and commitments. They focus heavily on hands-on learning, incorporating real-world projects.

By combining industry-aligned training with career-focused support, Skills Bootcamps provide a direct pathway to employment or career progression.

How Does Funding Work for Skills Bootcamps?

In the UK, Skills Bootcamps are fullyfunded by the government, meaning that they are accessible to individuals without upfront financial commitments. The funding covers the cost of tuition, materials and any required assessments.
