We are firmly committed to finding the right course for you to ensure you can flourish! Talk to us today if you have any concerns about the application process, we are here to help take you to the next level.

How is the course delivered and assessed?

The course is delivered face-to-face once a week. There are no formal assessments as this is an ILP course (Individual Learning Plan) which means that you will set your own goals at the beginning of the class and work to achieve them throughout the ten weeks with the help of the lecturer.

At the end of the 10 weeks, if you have achieved all of your goals, you will receive a College Certificate.

Future career and study opportunities

This course is designed to be a stepping stone into further studies or employment.

Ideally, you will finish this course and then join a twice-a-week Adult ESOL course, another 10 week ESOL Vocational Short Course or a full-time or part-time vocational course.

You may also go on to find new employment.

Additional costs

If you meet the residency requirements, this course is free. If you do not, then the fee is £180. Your residency status is determined by the Student Services team at reception.

If you have lived in the UK or a country in the EEA, you will meet the residency requirements, but there are other specialised ways of meeting the requirements that the Student Services team can explain further (i.e. refugees and asylum seekers can take the course for free).
