Who is this course for?
This course is for adults aged 19 or over who are looking to explore a career in or learn more about graphic design. You may already work in a creative role, but are looking to develop skills in graphic design. It will also be useful for those involved with aspects of marketing, advertising, print production and printing.
What you'll learn
This eight-week course will consist of eight topics, including an Introduction to Graphic Design, core design principles, typography, colour theory and using Adobe Creative Cloud.
Course entry requirements
To join this course, you need to have an interest in exploring Graphic Design and have a willingness to experiment and explore the subject.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
There is no formal assessment, but you will complete tasks and compile a portfolio of work on the course.
Future career and study opportunities
After completing this course, you can progress onto full-time and part-time Foundation Degree in Graphic Design with Interactive Multimedia or another bitesize course such as Information Design.
Additional costs
There are no additional costs but you will need memory sticks and hard-drives to backup and submit work. We recommend bringing a small sketchbook/notebook to be able to visualise your ideas.
