Course overviewSensory Learning City of Bristol College
This programme is for students who have Profound and Mulitple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You will improve your communication skills and become better equipped to make choices. We will support you to become a more active member of your community as you move towards adulthood.
Many of our students will go on to create a care package with supported living when they leave college. You may progress onto, or link into, our Progression into Independence programme.
Who is it for?
This is a Pathways (SEND) course for individuals aged 16-24 who have Profound and Mulitple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
How is the course delivered and assessed?
You will receive specialised, targeted support. We offer small group sizes, learning assistant support and specialist teachers.
You will incur additional costs to attend this course. For example, it is likely you may need to pay for travel, stationery and the cost of additional activities. For instance, you may go shopping to buy food ingredients or need money to cover the cost of community activities (e.g. purchasing food from a cafe).
If you are on a limited income, you may be able to receive help from our Learner Support Funding Bursary.
To keep our students and staff safe, we’re reducing the number of people in our buildings at one time.
To achieve this, most of our courses will include sessions taught at the college supported by online learning to help you reach your full potential.
