City of Bristol College was ranked 14th overall out of 50 in the RateMyApprenticeship’s Top Training Provider Award 2020-21 category.
This award celebrates training providers who have gone above and beyond their delivery of apprenticeship qualifications. What makes this award unique is it is based solely on the reviews of apprenticeships on RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk.
The training provider which achieves the highest scoring reviews take home the crown and are then placed in rank order thereafter.

Apprenticeships are a fast-growing training and progression route in a wide range of industry sectors. As an apprentice, students work and train with an employer who pay a salary while the apprentice develops work-related skills, knowledge, experience and gains a qualification.
Assistant Director of Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning, Geoffrey Iles, said the rank placement was a ‘great accomplishment’ for the college. He added: “This award ranking recognises all the great work we are undertaking across our apprenticeship provision from construction, motor vehicle, engineering and professional services.
“City of Bristol College has fantastic resources from state-of-the-art facilities to highly-skilled experienced staff who support students to successfully achieve, which is best demonstrated with year-on-year achievement rate improvements.
“To help make our provision even better we are building a new Advanced Construction Skills Academy in South Bristol which will be ready by September 2021.”
