On Thursday 18 November, we celebrated our essential relationship with local schools across Bristol by welcoming representatives to our City Restaurant at College Green Centre, and hosting a reunion with some of their former students.
Guests enjoyed a four-course meal prepared and served by our Catering and Hospitality students under the guidance of Chef Saravanan from Nadu in Stokes Croft.
We heard from our Chief Executive and Principal, Rich Harris, who shared his experience of being a student at Hanham High School (now Hanham Woods Academy) and how much he enjoyed his school years in Bristol.
In his opening talk to the guests, Rich said: “We always have such dedicated and committed students and I know those on your table this evening, are looking forward to sharing their experiences so far at City of Bristol College…the last 18 months have been a challenge for us all, certainly for students, making events like this even more special. I know that you are in for a treat of great food produced and served by our talented Hospitality and Catering students who are led by our dedicated tutors. It is always a treat to dine in our restaurant and showcase the skills that our students are developing on their course. Many of the students serving you tonight only started their course in September and are already showing great improvement…Our relationships with our feeder schools is key, so thank you again for attending and enjoy your evening.”
