Creative students pull out all the stops for end of year art exhibition

By the time that we approach the summer term, it marks the end of a year full to the brim of outstanding achievements from our creative students. Final exam pieces have been created, and coursework has been finalised and submitted. Therefore, the end of the academic year provides the perfect opportunity for students to proudly display their work and creative curations for all to see.

This is precisely what many of our creative students did when they put forward work for our end of term Digital & Creative Student Art Exhibition.

Family, friends, students and staff alike flocked to our College Green Centre in late June to catch a glimpse of the impressive work themselves. The exhibition was laid out across many of our classrooms and studio spaces, with each room presenting a theme and a differing medium of creative work.

The work on display was created by our students from many courses, including:

Art & Design
Photography
Graphic Design
Fashion Design
TV & Film
Games Design

Graphic design pieces featured amongst mixed media pieces, photography focused on people, places and various other subjects. In other rooms, hand-crafted pottery was laid out with the potential for exhibition attendees to purchase if they wanted to support the work of our students.

Paintings and 3D art installations hung on the walls, and fashion design students put together mannequins adorned with their jaw-dropping clothing pieces, including show-stoppers such as a dress made entirely out of moulded vinyl records.

The exhibition was a roaring success, and it was great to see our students take such pride in their work.
