Sensational results for Business students at 17% above national benchmark

Our recent BTEC Level 3 results have been announced as a staggering 96.5%, coming in at 17% above the national benchmark.

Continuing the success story, our Level 2 NCFE Skills for Business course students also achieved a success rate of 95%, an impressive 13% above the national benchmark.

Many of our Level 2 students are progressing on to our Level 3 Business course, whilst others will shortly be commencing apprenticeships.

Programme Manager, Katy Pearce commented: “Students are progressing to Level 3 Business or into apprenticeships; this is a really successful course which provides students with practical skills as well as giving them the opportunity to continue their Maths and English.”

One student, Ellie May, achieved Distinction, Merit, Merit which is an incredible achievement for her considering the various obstacles surrounding her health that she has overcome.  She is now taking her next steps and is seeking an apprenticeship or employment.

Another student on our Foundation Diploma needed considerable support from our study coach and academic staff to help her with accommodation and mental health.

Through this support, she transitioned from being at risk of failing through to achieving a Merit overall.

This is an incredible accolade and a true reflection of her hard work that also demonstrates the support from the college and external agencies and the kind of greatness that is achieved at City of Bristol College.
