Gain the knowledge and understanding of the principles & practice of assessment, for those who are starting their journey as an Assessor. 

Learn to assess the demonstration of competence in a work environment, using different assessment methods. 

Learn to assess knowledge, skills in vocationally related subject areas, using different assessment methods, in training workshops, classroom or other learning environments. 

Entry Requirements

You will need 2 learners for both the Competence and Vocational Skills units to assess. 

What will I do on this course?

You will attend an induction workshop and complete course work to cover the knowledge unit.

You will need to be assessed with 2 learners, covering 3 assessment methods, for both the Competence and Vocational Skills units. 

Have evidence of attending standardisation meetings/activities. 

Keep a record of your continuing professional development and reflect on your practice. 

Who is it for?

This qualification will provide people who carry out assessing in the classroom and workplace environment, with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their role. 

This qualification is available to anyone working in; accredited learning, non- accredited learning, the NQF and the QCF. 

This qualification is made up of 3 Units and totals 15 credits.
