About the course
The second of two advanced 3ds Max courses, this module is suitable for more experienced 3D Studio MAX users, building on the core skills learnt in the first advanced 3Ds course. Under the guidance of an Autodesk Approved Instructor, through hands on practical's using 3Ds Max the course aims to teach you the additional skills, modelling strategies and analytical ability necessary to produce photorealistic renders and animated imagery for commercial purposes.
Entry Requirements
3D rendering and general CAD experience is required, though you don't necessarily have to have done the first course in the series. Interviews are required for this course. Initial interviews are held on Tuesdays at 4pm in the CAD room at College Green (Room 6W9); if successful this will be followed by a second interview with the course tutor. You don't need to book in advance for the first interview, but allow at least 1 hour - the time required depends on the number of interviewees who arrive.
- knowledge of modelling and rendering in another 3D CAD program e.g. Revit, Sketchup, etc.
- are a capable 3D user of AutoCAD, including rendering in AutoCAD
- a suitable aptitude for advanced 3D work based on previous experience
